The aftermath....

Kids love to smash pumpkins. I don't know what it is about it.. but we can't even leave our pumpkins on our front porch because kids will come by at night and smash them. My folks used to let me smash my own pumpkin so that I wouldn't smash others. I thought it was a great tradition... so I carried it on to my own family :) Every year, the day after Halloween, we each get to smash our own pumpkin in the road in front of our house.

This year I got some pics of the action :)

Blake pitching his pumpkin (the one in the road was Lilly's, he did that one first). You can see his pumpkin right about the middle of the picture.

It didn't break... he was hoping this van would run it over. It didn't.

Ahhhh.... VICTORY!!!

Stomping the pieces that didn't break enough.

Mike tossing his pumpkin.. it's hard to see because it blends in with the leaves. But if you enlarge the pic and follow Mike's gaze you should be able to find it.

Lilly's pumpkin.
The end.
