Good counseling session tonight...

Mike and I have been going to informal counseling for several weeks now. A couple from our church hosted a class called "Building your marriage" which we attended, and that opened up a need in us to work more on our marriage.

So they offered to meet with us a couple of times a month to talk.

It has been really nice. It's so informal, we don't feel like we are being picked apart for every little thing we do. It's a couple, so neither of us feels attacked or like there is bias against us. We meet at Wendy's and just talk. It is really great.

Tonight was an especially peaceful meeting. We talked about a LOT of things... Blake's disrespect for his father, my level of trust towards Mike, our communication, etc. I left this meeting feeling like, "Wow, we've come such a long way in such a short time" rather than, "Man do we have a lot of work to do!"

I thank God that He allowed our paths to cross with these wonderful people who are so willing to give all that they can to help us grow closer and stronger in our marriage.

I can't wait for the time for us to repay this debt ... not to this couple, but to God for giving them to us! I am sure that He will find a way for us to help someone in need and we will be able to give it our all :)
