A cake?

Blake had some difficult spelling words this week... words like mysterious, against, scurried.

We were sitting at the table working on his homework (well, HE was working.. I was just talking to him), and he showed me he list of words. I said, "Wow, these are some big words Bud." He said (rather indignantly), "Yeah, I know." I then told him if he got them all right on his test I would do something special. He asked like what and I said, "I don't know.... bake a cake?"

Lo and behold... he came home today with his test... 100%!!!

I remembered that I had told him I'd do something... but I couldn't remember what it was (damn brain!). At dinner he told me about the test and said, "So, what kind of cake are you making me?" LOL!! Thanks for the reminder, Son :)

He has a swim meet tomorrow morning...so the cake will either be baked tomorrow night or Sunday. Maybe I can talk him into cupcakes and he can take them to church on Sunday (just what kids need... sugar at 9:30 in the morning) and get them out of our house :)
